On July 3, 2025, America250.org launched a year of “grand celebration worthy of the momentous occasion of the 250th anniversary of American independence on July 4, 2026”. The organization aims to engage communities and unite our nation through its programs and initiatives. Let us revisit that pivotal event in America’s founding, seeking keys that might help us with current challenges.
The Delegates’ Dilemma
It was a grand experiment that began in Independence Hall in 1776. Imagine the courage it took to sign the Declaration of Independence. Fifty-six delegates from the thirteen colonies put their feather pens to parchment and signed that document.
They were putting their lives on the line, not knowing what the next day would bring. By signing the Declaration, all were guilty of high treason under British law. The penalty for high treason was to be hanged by the neck until unconscious, then cut down and revived, then disemboweled and cut into quarters. The head and quarters were at the disposal of the crown.
No wonder they wavered! No wonder they dialogued back and forth for days on end before signing the document that carried so grave a penalty.1

Enter Saint Germain!
Who is the one who galvanized the delegates and gave them the courage to sign that document? Into the midst of their indecision, at 5:00 p.m. on July 4, 1776, Saint Germain appeared on the balcony. Although the doors remained locked and guarded, yet he appeared. He gave an impassioned speech to the delegates, thundering, “Sign that document!”2 The energy he released was so intense that immediately they coalesced in one accord. All signed the document.3
Who Is Saint Germain?
The immortal Count Saint Germain was closely connected with the courts of Europe. A book based on the diaries of Madame d’Ademar contains records of this Wonderman of Europe for a continuous period of over 200 years. He appeared and disappeared throughout the courts of Europe. He seemed youthful, wore diamonds on every finger, and precipitated jewels.
His main mission was to warn the heads of state of the coming cataclysm that ensued in the French Revolution. Still desiring to form a United States of Europe, he contacted Napoleon. After that failure, Saint Germain turned his attention to America, where he had already been working behind the scenes with George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson in preparing the U.S. Constitution and inspiring the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution.
What Is Saint Germain’s Vision for America?
…”Let there be the clearing of the decks of the ship of America!…” “I ask you then to take the Holy Child in your arms and carry the child across the turbulent waters.
“Your mantra to the violet flame ‘America is a land of violet fire4—America is the purity God desires!’ must be your mantra for the…year. …”See that ‘with God all things are possible.’
“I ask you then to secure the …painting…of George Washington kneeling in prayer.5 I ask that this shall be the sign of those who love America…in God, in freedom. I ask that you give this painting to your friends, …to have it in their homes, …and to pray with you for the light and the victory of America.
“And above all, I ask you…to kneel in prayer once a day…before you retire and to remember to call for the victory of light in America and in the hearts of the American people….
“Whatever you will be for America, be it to the utmost!…Tell me what you will be for America, for I desire to be it with you. I desire to be in you and walk through you—Saint Germain…! I would fulfill your dreams and your prayers, your longing for freedom. I would fulfill the law of love within you….
“We will be victorious! Lo, because thou art, O God, I AM 6! Lo, I AM the victory of America…!” 7
